The Tatreez Collective

Join The Tatreez Collective for a two-hour introduction to Tatreez, the traditional Palestinian art of cross-stitch embroidery.

The workshop will begin with a short introduction to the history and cultural significance of Tatreez, including some of the traditional motifs and their meanings. Participants will then learn the basic technique and use waste canvas to embroider a Palestinian-inspired design onto their own pouch.

No previous embroidery experience is required, and all materials will be provided. Participants will also be able to take their materials home to continue their embroidery after the workshop.
